Position: Security Guard

Location: The Wisdom Tree Community

Department: Security & Facility Management

Reports To: Security Supervisor / Facility Manager

Job PurposeTo ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, staff, property, and common areas of The Wisdom Tree Community by maintaining a vigilant presence, controlling access, monitoring movements, and responding promptly to security incidents and emergencies.

- Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain 24/7 security and vigilance at the assigned gate/post.
- Monitor and control the entry and exit of residents, visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, domestic workers, and vehicles.
- Verify visitor details and follow the community's visitor management and access-control procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, material movement, and incident registers.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security concerns.
- Monitor CCTV cameras where assigned and immediately report unusual or suspicious activity.
- Prevent unauthorized persons from entering restricted/common areas.
- Check incoming and outgoing materials as per established procedures and obtain necessary authorization.
- Assist residents and visitors courteously while maintaining security protocols.
- Monitor parking areas and help ensure vehicles are parked only in designated locations.
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, disturbances, and other emergency situations.
- Support the Emergency Response Team and assist during evacuation, fire emergencies, and other incidents.
- Immediately inform the Security Supervisor/Facility Manager about any incident, breach, damage, or emergency.




- Maintain discipline at the security post and ensure proper handover/takeover between shifts.
- Ensure the security post, registers, equipment, and surrounding area are kept clean and organized.
- Follow all community rules, security SOPs, and instructions issued by management.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the Security Supervisor or Facility Manager.
- Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum 10th Pass preferred.
- Previous experience as a Security Guard, preferably in a residential community, apartment complex, gated community, corporate facility, or similar environment.
- Good observation and alertness.
- Basic ability to read and write and maintain registers.
- Basic knowledge of mobile phones, visitor management systems, CCTV, and security equipment is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
- Physically fit and capable of standing/walking for extended periods.
- Honest, disciplined, punctual, responsible, and courteous.
- Ability to work in day/night shifts and on weekends/holidays as required.
- Preferred AttributesPrior experience in a gated residential community will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency response.
- Familiarity with visitor management and vehicle access procedures.
- Valid security training/certification where applicable.
- Good grooming and professional appearance.
- Key Performance ExpectationsZero unauthorized entry due to negligence.
- Accurate maintenance of all security registers and records.
- Prompt reporting and escalation of incidents.
- Consistent adherence to security SOPs.
- Skilled and courteous interaction with residents and visitors.
- Effective response during emergencies.
