ELECTRICAL SERVICE ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS & PANELS

ABOUT THE ROLE

UrjaNXT is looking for a hands-on Electrical Service Engineer with experience in electrical system servicing and preventive maintenance, as well as servicing, maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical panels.

The role involves servicing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment at industrial and commercial client sites, along with installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of PCC, MCC, APFC, LT and HT panels.

This is a field-based position. The engineer will be required to regularly visit and travel to client sites for service, maintenance, breakdown and commissioning activities.

Freshers with a Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering who are willing to learn and build their career in electrical service and maintenance may also apply. Freshers must be comfortable with regular client-site visits, travel and hands-on field work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment at client sites.

• Service and maintain electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, cables and earthing systems.

• Service and troubleshoot PCC, MCC, APFC, LT and HT panels.

• Attend electrical breakdowns and identify the root cause of faults.

• Troubleshoot MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, relays, meters, capacitor banks and control circuits.

• Carry out thermal scanning, torque checking, cleaning,



inspection and other preventive maintenance activities.

• Perform IR, continuity and functional testing.

• Support installation, testing and commissioning of electrical panels and systems.

• Read and understand SLDs, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.

• Coordinate with client electrical and maintenance teams during service activities.

• Prepare service, breakdown and preventive maintenance reports.

• Follow electrical safety procedures, secure isolation practices and client safety requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 1–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical service and maintenance.

• Industrial or commercial client-site experience is preferred.

• Practical experience in electrical panel servicing and troubleshooting.

• Experience with PCC, MCC, APFC, LT and HT panels is preferred.

• Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, protection systems and electrical distribution systems will be an advantage.

• Good electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read SLDs, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Good practical problem-solving ability.

• Good communication and client-handling skills.

• Willingness to travel regularly to client sites.

For Freshers:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.





• Strong willingness to learn electrical service, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Must be comfortable with field work, regular client-site visits and travel.

FIELD REQUIREMENT

This is a field-based role involving regular travel to client locations.

The selected candidate will be required to:

• Visit industrial and commercial client sites regularly.

• Travel to different project and customer locations as required.

• Attend electrical service, maintenance and breakdown requirements.

• Work at customer sites and coordinate with their electrical and maintenance teams.

Candidates looking for a fixed office-based or fixed-location job may not be suitable for this position.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a technically sound and hands-on Electrical Service Engineer who has practical experience in electrical system service, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Candidates with experience in electrical panel manufacturers, switchgear/OEM service teams, EPC companies or industrial electrical maintenance will be preferred.
