Role Overview

As a Staff Nurse (Graduate Trainee) at NephroPlus, you will be the primary caregiver for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will work under the guidance of the Unit In-Charge and Senior Therapist, receiving structured, hands-

on training in dialysis science, machine operation, water treatment monitoring, and direct patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers to specialize early in a high-demand clinical field, with clear pathways to grow into

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical & Technical Care ¢ Assemble necessary supplies and prepare the dialyzer according to established procedures and the dialysis prescription

¢ Assemble and prepare the dialysis extracorporeal circuit as per protocol and prescription

¢ Verify absence of residual sterilants before use

¢ Test and monitor machine functions including alarms,



conductivity, and temperature; set alarms per unit and manufacturer protocol

¢ Verify dialyzer details and complete related documentation

¢ Discard used supplies and sanitize equipment as per manufacturer and unit protocol

¢ Monitor RO (water treatment) readings to ensure safe limits and adequate water levels for subsequent shifts;

document readings accurately

2. Direct Patient Care ¢ Record pre- and post-dialysis vital signs, weight, and temperature

¢ Inspect the patient's dialysis access; administer local anesthesia where required and insert needles per protocol and prescription ¢ Document treatment parameters and promptly communicate any patient concerns to the Unit In-Charge

¢ Administer anticoagulants and adjust blood flow and fluid removal rates as per protocol and physician prescription

¢ Safely discontinue dialysis, establish hemostasis, and clean/dress the access site as per protocol

¢ Continuously monitor patients and equipment, responding to alarms and adjusting treatment as required

¢ Respond appropriately to dialysis-related emergencies hypotension, needle displacement, clotting, blood leaks, or air embolism

¢ Initiate CPR in the event of a cardiac emergency

¢ Support patient education on nutrition, lifestyle, and treatment adherence, in collaboration with the Unit In-

Charge and Sr. Therapist

¢ Communicate emotional, medical, psychosocial, and nutritional concerns of patients to the Unit In-Charge

¢ Maintain skilled conduct, empathetic communication, and patient confidentiality at all times

- Process, Quality & Compliance

¢ Accurately update patient vitals and dialysis data in Electronic Medical Records or designated registers

¢ Ensure adherence to NABH standards and other applicable clinical quality protocols

¢ Ensure reprocessing and dilution procedures are carried out strictly as per unit protocol





¢ Maintain overall hygiene and support proper waste management within the dialysis unit

- Team & Facility Support

¢ Assist in preparing patient treatment schedules alongside the care team

¢ Support training of new team members on dialysis machine preparation, monitoring, and maintenance

¢ Report any protocol deviations observed among staff to the Unit In-Charge

¢ Help maintain minimum stock levels in the emergency trolley and check it daily

¢ Ensure facilities and supplies for emergency resuscitation are always ready

¢ Support adequate staffing coordination to ensure uninterrupted patient care

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

Registration

B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution (mandatory)

Valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council (mandatory before joining, or in progress)

Experience

Freshers and final-semester/final-year students are welcome to apply no prior dialysis experience required

Age

2028 years

Language

Proficiency in the local regional language of the posting location; working knowledge of English

Work Conditions

Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends, and to relocate within the region (or internationally, where applicable) if required

Training & Career Growth

All selected freshers go through a structured induction program at the NephroPlus Academy, covering the scientific principles of dialysis, machine operation, water treatment monitoring, patient safety, and emergency response. The program combines classroom learning with supervised, on-the-job training at a NephroPlus center, culminating in a certification in dialysis care. High performers have a clear path to progress into Senior Staff Nurse, Sr. Therapist, and

Unit In-Charge roles within the organization, including opportunities for international deployment.
