Role Overview:

The Senior Executive Accounts Payable is responsible for managing end-to-end invoice processing and ensuring accurate, timely payments to vendors and employees. The role involves reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and supporting reporting and audit requirements. It also includes resolving vendor queries, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and meeting defined turnaround timelines.

Additionally, the position focuses on improving AP processes, driving efficiency, and supporting high-volume transaction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing:

- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system for payment processing.

2. Payment Management:

- Review, approve, and process weekly/monthly payment runs and employee expense reports.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting:

- Reconcile vendor statements, manage aging reports, and reconcile accounts payable transactions in the general ledger.

4. Compliance & Audit:

- Manage turnaround time (TAT) for ad-hoc requests,



ensuring quick and reliable delivery of data.

5. Query Resolution:

- Handle complex vendor inquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies, and manage the AP inbox.

6. Process Improvement:

- Identify bottlenecks, update documentation, and suggest automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills: 1. Experience:

- Generally 6-8 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, often requiring supervisory or specialized knowledge.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with invoice automation software.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, GST/tax regulations, and financial controls.

Soft Skills:

- Robust attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Typical Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with high-volume, international, or high-risk vendor management.
