- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, translating design requirements into manufacturable solutions and production procedures.
- Perform Fit, Form, and Function (FFF) assessments to ensure component compatibility, performance, and compliance with design intent.
- Analyze non-conformances and deviations, and develop effective rework and disposition instructions while ensuring adherence to aircraft safety and airworthiness requirements.
- Create and validate repair instructions, repair schemes, and technical procedures for damaged or non-compliant components.
- Collaborate closely with Production, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), Quality, and Design Engineering teams to provide timely and effective technical support.
- Support issue resolution during the final assembly process to maintain product delivery schedules, manufacturing efficiency, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational quality processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Skill:
- Strong foundation in engineering principles, with the ability to apply analytical and problem-solving techniques to complex aerospace engineering challenges.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and assembly activities.
- Strong expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) and its practical application in product design, manufacturing, and inspection.
- Good understanding of aerospace manufacturing methods, processes, and production constraints.
- Hands-on experience in performing tolerance stack-up analyses, clearance assessments, and clash/interference studies to validate product fit and functionality.
- Proven ability to develop robust, timely, and technically sound design justifications while ensuring compliance with applicable engineering requirements and standards.
- Capable of supporting root cause analyses for non-conformances and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, airworthiness requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Working knowledge of CATIA and experience with aircraft landing gear systems and components is preferred.
- Strong communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience Criteria: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace, mechanical, or product engineering, with exposure to aircraft structures, landing gear systems, or complex mechanical assemblies.
Note:
Candidates currently working in Manufacturing, Quality, or Assembly functions are also encouraged to apply, provided they possess a robust understanding of engineering drawings, design principles, and technical specifications.
