Position: VMC CNC Programmer / Designer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Location: On-Site

Experience: Experienced candidates preferred

Compensation: As per industry standards, based on experience, technical expertise, and capability

About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled VMC CNC Programmer / Designer with proven experience in high-precision, surgical-grade component manufacturing.

The role involves programming, process planning, tooling selection, and machining of critical precision components where dimensional accuracy, repeatability, surface finish, and process consistency are extremely important.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of tight-tolerance CNC machining and be comfortable working to stringent engineering and quality requirements associated with surgical-grade components.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize CNC/VMC programs for surgical-grade and high-precision components.
- Program complex components requiring very tight dimensional tolerances and exceptional repeatability.
- Study engineering drawings, GD&T;, specifications, and component requirements in detail before programming.
- Develop complete machining processes, including tool selection, work holding, sequencing, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies.
- Set up, prove out, and optimize VMC programs while ensuring first-off components meet all specified requirements.
- Achieve and maintain extremely high dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and geometric precision.
- Optimize machining processes for consistency across production batches.
- Identify and eliminate sources of dimensional variation, tool deflection, vibration, burrs, and surface imperfections.
- Select appropriate precision cutting tools, fixtures,

and inspection methods for critical components.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, tooling, and process-related issues independently.
- Continuously improve cycle times, tool life, machining accuracy, and process reliability without compromising quality.
- Work closely with design, production, quality, and inspection teams to ensure components conform to specifications.
- Maintain accurate CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and process documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality systems, inspection procedures, traceability, and manufacturing standardsapplicable to critical components.

Technical RequirementsThe candidate should have strong practical knowledge of:
- VMC CNC programming
- Precision and close-tolerance machining
- Surgical-grade / medical-grade component manufacturing
- 2D engineering drawings and GD&T;
- CAM programming and CNC tool-path generation
- Multi-operation machining and process sequencing
- Precision tooling and work-holding solutions
- Cutting parameters, speeds, feeds, and tool selection
- Fixture and component setup
- Surface finish requirements
- First-piece inspection and dimensional correction
- Process optimization and repeatability
- CNC troubleshooting and program editing

Surgical-Grade Precision ExpectationsThis position is specifically suited to candidates who understand that precision and quality cannot be compromised.

Experience with components requiring

- Extremely tight dimensional tolerances
- High repeatability from component to component
- Critical concentricity, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, and positional accuracy
- Controlled surface finishes
- Minimal burrs and edge defects
- Consistent machining quality across batches
- Detailed inspection and documentation
- Strict adherence to engineering drawings and specifications

will be highly valued. Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is:
- Technically strong and highly detail-oriented.
- Experienced in precision CNC machining rather than conventional production machining alone.
- Capable of independently developing and optimizing machining processes.
- Comfortable working with critical, surgical-grade components and stringent quality requirements.
- Able to identify machining problems and implement effective corrective actions.
- Quality-conscious, disciplined, and process-oriented.
- Comfortable taking ownership of programming, machining accuracy, and final component quality.

Compensation & OpportunityFull-time, in office position with compensation as per industry standards and commensurate with experience and technical expertise. Candidates with demonstrated experience in surgical-grade, medical-grade, aerospace-grade, or other ultra-precision CNC component manufacturing will be given preference.

- Interested candidates are requested to share their CV along with details of their CNC/VMC programming experience, types of precision components handled, software/CAM expertise, and expected salary.
