Role Purpose -

To ensure support to business by developing Components at selected vendors at the right time, of required quality and within the given cost.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure development of components of motorcycle hydraulic disc brake, 3 wheeler drum brake and various sub products of Braking System as per QCD Norms with preferred suppliers.

- Shortlisting of Suppliers.
- Coordination with CFT for QMS audit of Suppliers.
- Shortlisting of suppliers preferred for development.
- Following SOP VCD for completion of development with suppliers from floating of RFQ to Mass Production Handover.

02 Establishment of QMS for the Component at Supplier End.

- Understanding QMS Requirements for the components to be developed at supplier end.
- Establishment of QMS as per IATF and product requirements at supplier end.

03 Ensuring timely and First Time Right receipt of components

- Preparing development plan in line with Master Development plan with suppliers to ensure timely receipt and follow-up accordingly for Prototype and Mass Production.
- Finalizing Q- Gates and ensuring component qualifies all the Q parameters at supplier end.

Cost Control

- Negotiation with suppliers to meet component cost and tool cost in line with the Target.

Documentation





- Ensuring availability of Layout Inspection Reports, MTC, Testing and Validation Reports, PPAP Documents, etc.

Person Specification: sector/industry auto components/manufacturing/high precision systems any additional relevant function – vendor development/component development/purchase/st sourcing knowledge skill behavior

- Through knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
- Through knowledge manufacturing techniques to manufacture Cold Forged, Hot Forged components, Fasteners. And/or Rubber components, Proprietary Parts
- Component Costing, Tool Cost and various Suppliers.
- Quality Management Systems, IATF 16949.
- Inspection method, Gauges and Instruments.
- Various Engineering materials and specifications.
- Tool & Dies
- Strong analytical skill to analyze & source right fit to the requirement.
- Good presentation skill.
- Ability to organize and analyze data in large volumes.
- Strong Negotiation Skill.
- Solid network and collaborative.
- Understanding of business systems and processes. Adheres to systems and processes in the organization.
