We are looking for an experienced US Accountant / Finance Operations professional based in India to manage accounting, US tax coordination, payments, collections, and day-to-day financial operations for our US-based businesses.

nThis is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning the finance function rather than only doing bookkeeping.

nResponsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for US entities
n
- Maintain accurate P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, and general ledger records
n
- Support and coordinate US federal and state tax filings, including working with external CPAs when needed
n
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
- Own collections and follow-up on outstanding invoices
n
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors, and financial platforms
n
- Handle Stripe disputes, chargebacks, evidence submissions, and dispute tracking
n
- Monitor incoming payments and investigate failed, delayed, or unmatched transactions
n
- Manage vendor payments, employee expenses, reimbursements, and corporate cards
n
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
n
- Maintain supporting documentation for transactions and financial records
n
- Prepare financial reports and management dashboards
n
- Help improve accounting controls, reconciliation processes, and finance workflows
n
- Coordinate with leadership, CPAs, vendors, customers, banks, and payment processors as needed

nRequirements

n

n
- Based in India
n
- 3+ years of accounting or finance operations experience
n
- Strong experience handling accounting for US-based companies
n




- Working knowledge of US accounting and tax requirements
n
- Experience with US tax preparation or directly supporting US CPA/tax filings
n
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP, AR, and financial reporting
n
- Experience with several of the following platforms is strongly preferred:

- Rho, Mercury, Brex, Ramp, Zoho, Zen Payments, Stripe
n
- Experience handling Stripe disputes and chargebacks
n
- Experience with collections / accounts receivable follow-up
n
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
n
- High attention to detail and ability to independently investigate discrepancies
n
- Comfortable working with US-based teams and overlapping with US business hours when required
n
- Excellent written and spoken English

- CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or similar accounting qualification
n
- Experience working with startups or rapid-growing US companies
n
- Experience managing multiple US entities
n
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books
n
- Experience with payroll, 1099s, W-2 coordination, sales tax, and state filings
n
- Experience improving or automating finance workflows

nWhat We're Looking For

nWe want someone who is proactive and operational. You should be comfortable noticing that an invoice is overdue, a Stripe dispute needs a response, a transaction does not reconcile, or a tax deadline is coming up — and taking ownership of getting it resolved.

nThis is a high-ownership role with significant responsibility across the company's accounting and finance operations.
