FTL Transport Sales & Traffic Controller

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced FTL Transport Sales & Traffic Controller with strong hands-on experience in Full Truck Load (FTL) transportation, warehousing and logistics.

This is a target-driven sales and operations role. The candidate will be responsible for generating new FTL business, achieving monthly sales/revenue targets, maintaining existing customers, and managing vehicle placement and transportation operations.

Candidates with an existing network of customers and the ability to generate regular FTL business will be strongly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesFTL Sales & Business Development – PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

- Generate new FTL transportation business from companies, manufacturers, traders, distributors and other businesses.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly FTL sales/revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new FTL customers and business opportunities.
- Develop new customers through personal network, market visits, references, calls and business development activities.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts to generate repeat FTL business.
- Candidates with their own customer network / existing FTL business connections will be highly preferred.
- Prepare and negotiate freight quotations and commercial terms with customers.
- Follow up aggressively on leads, quotations and enquiries and convert them into confirmed trips/business.
- Maintain robust relationships with customers to ensure consistent monthly volumes and long-term business.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and report leads, enquiries, confirmed trips, revenue and pending business to management.

FTL Operations & Traffic Control
- Manage daily FTL vehicle placement according to customer requirements and loading schedules.
- Source vehicles through transport brokers, fleet owners and vehicle operators.




- Maintain a strong network of transporters and brokers for quick vehicle availability.
- Negotiate vehicle/freight rates with transporters while maintaining required margins.
- Coordinate with factories, warehouses and customers for vehicle placement, loading and dispatch.
- Track vehicles from pickup to delivery and ensure timely deliveries.
- Handle issues related to vehicle delays, breakdowns, loading/unloading and delivery.
- Maintain records of vehicle placements, trips, freight rates, transporter details and delivery status.
- Coordinate with accounts/customers regarding billing and outstanding payment follow-ups.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports covering FTL sales, revenue, trips, vehicle placement, margins and pending deliveries.

Mandatory Requirements
- 3–6 years of proven experience in FTL / Full Truck Load transportation business.
- Mandatory experience in FTL Sales + Business Development.
- Proven ability to achieve FTL sales/revenue targets.
- Strong existing network of FTL customers, transport brokers, fleet owners and transporters.
- Experience in warehousing, logistics and factory-to-customer transportation.
- Candidates who can bring existing customers / regular FTL volumes will be given strong preference.
- Good knowledge of freight rates, routes, vehicle types and transport market practices.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong commercial understanding of revenue, freight costs and margins.
- Ability to independently manage both sales and day-to-day FTL operations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.

Work Location: Andheri East, Mumbai Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
