Role Description The Thermal Data Processing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida Sector 63. The role involves processing and analyzing thermal imaging data captured by drones for applications such as infrastructure inspection, power line monitoring, and terrain analysis.
Day-to-day responsibilities include cleaning and organizing raw thermal data, performing image calibration and corrections, and generating meaningful insights and reports from the processed datasets. The engineer will collaborate with flight operations teams to define data collection requirements, optimize data quality,
and refine processing workflows. The role may also include developing or customizing algorithms, integrating results into dashboards or GIS platforms, and supporting troubleshooting and improvements in data pipelines.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in thermal image processing and analysis, including experience with infrared/thermal cameras and related software tools.
- Proficiency in data processing and scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) for handling large datasets and automating workflows.
- Knowledge of drone data workflows, including acquisition, storage, and integration of aerial imagery into geospatial or analytical platforms.
- Understanding of image calibration, noise reduction, segmentation, and anomaly detection techniques relevant to thermal imagery.
- Ability to interpret technical results and prepare clear visualizations, reports, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with GIS tools, power infrastructure inspection, or remote sensing applications is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely and effectively in on-site operational environments.
