Dipasha Medical Store
Prayagraj
About the Role:
We run a neighbourhood pharmacy in Prayagraj that is expanding from a pure counter business into counter + home delivery, run on our own store management system. This role combines two jobs into one. You are the registered pharmacist named on our drug licence — responsible for dispensing, prescription verification and statutory records. You also run the shop: stock, purchase, billing, deliveries and the team. We are looking for a pharmacist who wants to run a business, not only stand behind a counter.
This is a hands-on floor role. You will be present on the shop floor during operating hours.
Job Responsibilities:
- Dispense medicines personally or under your direct supervision.
- Verify prescriptions before dispensing; dispense Schedule H and H1 drugs only against a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner
- Maintain the Schedule H1 register and all other statutory registers accurately and up to date
- Counsel customers on dosage, timing, storage, common side effects and interactions
- Suggest generic or brand substitutes by salt and strength where appropriate, using your skilled judgement
- Screen home-delivery and orders before they are dispatched
- Maintain cold-chain and general storage conditions; check temperature
- Conduct Regular Audits for damaged or expired stock
- Store operations responsibilities
Inventory
- Maintain stock accuracy through daily cycle counts, rack discipline, and batch/expiry tracking
- Run near-expiry and dead-stock reviews; coordinate distributor returns before value is lost
- Keep fast-moving SKUs always available and own the reorder list
Purchase
- Raise purchase orders against reorder levels and the customer request book
- Receive goods against invoice — verify quantity, batch, expiry, rate, scheme and MRP before entry
- Enter GST purchase bills in the system (or verify scanned entries) the same day goods arrive
- Negotiate rates, schemes and credit terms with distributors
Billing and counter
- Ensure every sale is billed in the system with correct GST, batch and expiry — no off-system sales
- Supervise counter staff during peak hours; handle escalations, returns and credit notes
- Own daily cash reconciliation and handover
Delivery operations
- Assign and track delivery orders to riders through the staff app
- Own delivery TAT, order accuracy and rider attendance
- Resolve failed, delayed or wrong-item deliveries the same day
Customer requests and retention
- Maintain the customer request book for items asked for but unavailable; close the daily open list with callbacks once stock arrives
- Build repeat business with chronic-medication customers through timely refill reminders
Team
- Roster, supervise and train counter staff and delivery riders
- Enforce SOPs for dispensing, billing, stock handling and customer interaction
- What success looks like (first 6 months)
- Statutory registers complete and inspection-ready at any time, with zero dispensing violations
- Stock accuracy above 98% between system and physical count
- Near-expiry write-off value reduced month on month
- Zero unbilled sales
- Purchase bills entered within 3 hours of receipt
- Delivery TAT within the promised window on 95%+ of orders
- Daily customer requests closed with a callback within 12 hours
Requirements

Strong working knowledge of medicine categories, salts and substitutes, batches, expiry, schemes and MRP-based pricing
Comfortable with billing/inventory software and a smartphone-based app; basic Excel
