Job Description – Finance ManagerDepartment: Finance & Accounts

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the organization's financial operations, accounting activities, cash flow, budgeting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments and collections, proper expense control, payroll coordination, and compliance with applicable accounting and taxation requirements.
- Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial ManagementOversee day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Monitor income, expenses, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
- Review invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper accounting of transactions across all branches/business units.
- Conduct regular reconciliation of bank, cash, and ledger accounts.
- 2. Financial ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare MIS reports for management review.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Monitor branch-wise revenue, expenses, profitability, and outstanding payments.
- Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- 3. Budgeting & Cost ControlPrepare and monitor annual/monthly budgets.
- Track actual expenses against approved budgets.
- Identify unnecessary or excessive expenses and recommend cost-control measures.
- Monitor operational expenses and ensure proper authorization before payments.
- 4. Receivables & PayablesMonitor customer/client outstanding payments and follow up for timely collections.
- Manage vendor payments and payment schedules.
- Maintain accurate ageing reports for receivables and payables.
- Coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution of payment-related issues.
- 5. Taxation & Statutory ComplianceEnsure timely compliance with applicable GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI and other statutory requirements, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, tax consultants, auditors, and other external professionals.
- Assist in preparation and submission of required returns and financial documents.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for audits and statutory requirements.
- 6. Payroll & Employee PaymentsCoordinate with HR for monthly payroll processing.
- Verify salary calculations, deductions, incentives, reimbursements, and Full & Final settlements.
- Ensure timely processing of employee payments.
- Review payroll-related statutory deductions and compliance.
- 7. Audit & Internal ControlsCoordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure availability of required financial records and supporting documents.
- Establish and monitor appropriate financial controls and approval processes.
- Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and potential areas of fraud or leakage.
- Ensure proper documentation and authorization of financial transactions.
- 8. Banking & Cash ManagementMonitor bank transactions and balances.
- Manage cash flow and ensure adequate funds for operational requirements.
- Coordinate with banks regarding transactions, documentation, and other banking matters.
- Maintain proper records of cash and bank transactions.
- 9.
Team & Cross-Functional CoordinationSupervise and guide the Finance & Accounts team.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, Sales, Administration, and Management.
- Ensure finance-related queries from internal departments are resolved promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee-related information.
- Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF and ESI compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Budgeting and financial planning skills.
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple branches/business units.
- Educational QualificationBachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter / equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
- Preferred ExperienceMinimum 4 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Experience in handling multi-branch or multi-business-unit accounting will be preferred.
- Prior experience in a service, education, beauty, media, or similar business environment will be an advantage.
