Territory Manager Commercial Lines – 5+ Years – Mumbai

Are you an experienced General Insurance – Commercial Lines professional with robust expertise in broker relationship management, business development and corporate commercial insurance? We are looking for a qualified who can independently drive business and build strong relationships with brokers and intermediaries.

Responsibilities

- Drive monthly business targets across multiple Commercial Lines of business.
- Manage existing brokers/intermediaries, drive renewals and generate new business opportunities.
- Develop new broker relationships and strengthen market penetration.
- Build strong relationships with clients and brokers to expand the commercial insurance portfolio.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely servicing and adherence to defined TATs.
- Ensure accurate booking of sourced business and coordinate with relevant teams for coinsurance and reinsurance payments.

Requirements

- 5–8 years of experience in General Insurance Commercial Lines sales/distribution in the Mumbai market.
- Strong experience handling Corporate Commercial Insurance including Fire & Engineering, Liability, Marine, Workmen’s Compensation and Group Health.
- Experience working through the broking channel is mandatory.
- Strong and established network of insurance brokers and intermediaries.
- Sound understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting fundamentals and market practices.
- Proven experience in business development, broker relationship management and client servicing.
- Experience handling mid-to-large ticket commercial business will be preferred.
- Comfortable working as an Individual Contributor (IC) and independently driving business.




- Candidates primarily focused on Retail, Bancassurance, Agency or SME Agency channels will not be suitable.
