Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Oracle Database Administrators (DBAs) with strong expertise in managing large-scale production environments. The role is primarily focused on BAU operations, performance engineering, database optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, security compliance, and incident management.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in supporting mission-critical Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, security, and operational excellence. Candidates with banking domain exposure will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Engineering & Database Optimization

- Monitor and optimize Oracle database performance.
- Analyze SQL execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Perform database tuning for queries, indexes, memory, storage, and workloads.
- Drive proactive performance improvements across databases.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

- Manage Oracle HA and DR environments.
- Execute DR drills and validate recovery readiness.
- Ensure business continuity through robust failover mechanisms.
- Support Data Guard and other disaster recovery solutions.

Backup & Recovery

- Configure, monitor, and manage RMAN backups.
- Perform database recovery activities during critical incidents.
- Validate backup integrity and recovery procedures.

Security & Compliance

- Implement and administer Oracle security controls.

- Work on

- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.

Production Support & Operations

- Provide L2/L3 support for Oracle database environments.




- Troubleshoot database incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Support database patching, capacity management, health checks, and operational activities.
- Participate in an on-call and 24x7 support rotation.

Monitoring & Administration

- Manage database monitoring through Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Track database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Automate routine database administration tasks wherever applicable.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments is preferred.
