This role is with one of our clients which is a Pune-based consultancy specializing in establishing Digital Engineering practices and building the digital tapestry in organizations through formal Systems Engineering methodologies. With integrated digital engineering solutioning they assist organizations to solve engineering problems, embrace emerging technologies and achieve operational excellence. Currently the company engages with various industry domains such as aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment manufacturing and typically with large OEMs, MNCs and PSUs. This role is in the defence domain.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced SE Advocate with strong expertise in Systems Engineering and System Integration to support the development and integration of complex mechatronic systems.
The role involves working closely with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, software, systems engineering, architecture, and testing teams to ensure effective system-level integration. The candidate will also collaborate with the MBSE Governance Team to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture practices, processes, standards, and engineering toolchains.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate system integration activities across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, software, and other engineering domains.
- Collaborate with systems engineers and architects to align interfaces,
- requirements, performance expectations, and system constraints.
- Identify,
analyze, and resolve cross-domain system integration issues.
- Support the definition and management of system interfaces and interface requirements.
- Contribute to system architecture development, system modeling, and requirements traceability.
- Support system-level verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, risk assessments, and other system-level technical reviews.
- Work with engineering teams to identify dependencies and assess the impact of design or requirement changes.
- Support continuous improvement of system integration processes and cross-domain collaboration.
- Coordinate with the MBSE Governance Team to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture practices, processes, standards, and toolchains.
- Maintain system engineering artefacts and ensure consistency and traceability across requirements, models, interfaces, and verification activities.
Technical Skills Must Have
- 4-7 years of experience in Systems Engineering, System Integration, or a related engineering role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics,
- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of mechatronic systems and cross-domain interactions.
Practical experience in:
- System architecture and integration
- Requirements management and traceability
- Interface definition and management
- System-level verification and validation
- MBSE practices and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with one or more systems engineering/modeling tools.
- Ability to analyze system-level interactions, dependencies, constraints, and integration issues.
- Familiarity with engineering risk assessment and FMEA processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
Tools Relevant Experience
- MATLAB / Simulink

- Polarion or equivalent requirements management tools

Technical Skills Good to Have
- Experience in agricultural machinery, automotive, off-highway, or heavy
- equipment industries.
- Exposure to digital engineering and digital thread practices.
- Experience with model-based system development and system simulation.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub-based workflows and model/version management.
- Exposure system architecture frameworks and modeling languages such as SysML.
- Understanding software hardware integration and embedded systems.
- Experience with automated testing, simulation-based verification, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
- Exposure to enterprise MBSE governance, modeling standards, and toolchain integration.
Soft Skills Must Have
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of system-level issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers across multiple domains.
- Ability to drive issues to closure and follow through on integration problems.
