Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a System Engineer with experience in RF & Communication systems to join our client's engineering team in Chennai.

The role involves system design, development, assembly, integration, testing, validation and documentation of advanced communication systems for Defence & Aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform system design, development, assembly, integration and testing activities.
- Work on C-Band Air Data Terminal and Ku-Band Ground Data Terminal systems.
- Review technical specifications and engineering requirements.
- Support system architecture, design analysis and development activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports and engineering data.
- Define and execute system-level test plans and simulations.
- Perform system validation and performance verification through laboratory and field trials.
- Support antenna pattern testing and performance analysis.
- Coordinate with hardware, software, RF and other cross-functional engineering teams.
- Follow up with cross-functional teams for timely completion of project activities.
- Support design reviews, technical analysis and troubleshooting activities.
- Contribute to product lifecycle activities from development through testing and validation.

Required Skills
- Experience in RF & Communication products and system architecture.

- Good understanding of

- Modem systems
- RF Transmitter and Receiver chains

- Antenna systems





- Antenna Pointing systems

- Digital Communication

- Modulation schemes
- Basic understanding of Gimbal platform mechanisms.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle and system development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand system/radar functionalities and develop design solutions.
- Experience in testing, validation and troubleshooting.
- Good technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in:

- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (E&I;)

Minimum Academic Score: 60%

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in the following domains are preferred:

- Defence & Aerospace
- RF & Communication
- Electronics & Electrical Manufacturing
- Radar / Electronic Warfare
- Satellite Communication
- Communication Systems
- Defence Electronics

Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong system-level engineering and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team.
- Good technical communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work in a rapid-paced engineering environment.
- Candidates with relevant experience in Defence & Aerospace / RF Communication systems will be preferred
