Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics professional to lead warehouse operations, finished goods handling, dispatch coordination, inventory management, documentation, manpower planning, and safety activities.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, timely receipt and dispatch of finished goods, effective warehouse operations, statutory documentation, and optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Finished Goods Management
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations for Finished Goods (FG).
- Coordinate with the Finishing House/Production team for timely receipt of finished goods.
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, identification, and movement of finished goods.
- Maintain warehouse discipline and optimize storage space utilization.
Inventory & SAP Management
- Ensure accurate inventory management and reconciliation of warehouse stock.
- Conduct monthly stock audits and ensure 100% physical-to-system stock matching.
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of relevant transactions in SAP.
- Monitor stock movement and identify discrepancies or operational gaps.
Logistics, Dispatch & Documentation
- Coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Monitor dispatch schedules and resolve operational delays.
- Verify invoices, dispatch documents, E-Way Bills, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure accurate records of receipts, dispatches, stock movements, and inventory reconciliation.
Manpower & Safety Management
- Manage manpower allocation and workforce productivity to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and warehouse resources.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and workplace safety standards.
- Monitor housekeeping, material handling, and safe working practices.
- Identify training and competency development requirements for warehouse personnel.
MIS, Data Analysis & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain MIS reports related to inventory, receipts, dispatches, and warehouse performance.
- Analyze operational data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Drive initiatives to improve stock accuracy, warehouse efficiency, space utilization, and dispatch turnaround time.
- Implement process improvements to minimize operational discrepancies and delays.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, guide, and motivate the Warehouse & Logistics team to achieve operational objectives.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Sales, Finance, Logistics, and SCM teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and maintain effective cross-functional coordination.
- Promote a culture of accountability, discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant discipline.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Finished Goods management, preferably in a manufacturing/process industry.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, dispatch coordination, SAP, stock audits, and logistics documentation.
- Robust knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory controls, E-Way Bills, and statutory documentation.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Experience in managing warehouse manpower and ensuring workplace safety will be preferred.
