The DATUM Project(thedatumproject.com), an open source initiative by the architecture startup Arcedo, is building an open architectural material matrix and comprehensive site analysis platform designed for students and practitioners. We are bridging the gap between architectural design, material science, and software by creating accessible, open-source tools and data structures for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) community.

Job Title: Student Researcher Intern Location: Remote Duration: 3-6 Months Type: Part time / Full-time Internship Expected hours: 4-5 hours a week If you are eager to learn and contribute, we would love to have you on board.

You can focus on the areas that interest you most: Data & Research: Dive into material and site research. Help compile, clean,



and structure large datasets (using spreadsheets and basic data pipelines) to ensure they integrate seamlessly into our web platform. UX & Tech Integration: Focus on user experience and platform testing. Work closely with our development team to bridge the gap between architectural data, web interfaces (HTML/CSS/Go), and BIM tools (like Revit plugins). Blog Writing & Storytelling: Craft the core narrative of the DATUM project. Write engaging blog posts about the innovative materials, architecture, history and arts. Build community interest through creative storytelling.
