Blowtrumpet

South Delhi

Location: South Delhi / nearby — On-site

Employment: Full-time / Consultant / Part-Time

Company: Blowtrumpet

We are looking for someone who has been on the journey.

Blowtrumpet is looking for an AdTech enthusiast with substantial contextual knowledge, practical experience and an appetite to build .

This is not an internship, a conventional business-development position, or an administrative Founders’ Office role.

We are looking for someone who understands how advertising, technology and markets actually work — and who can bring that understanding into the process of building something new.

You may have built a product. Started a company. Run campaigns. Worked with agencies, advertisers, publishers or creators. Built communities. Experimented with affiliate or influencer models. Researched markets. Negotiated deals. Worked across borders. Designed software. Or spent years understanding an industry from the inside.

We want to understand that journey.

More importantly, we want to understand what you learned from it.

What You Should Know

You should be comfortable discussing the AdTech ecosystem beyond its surface terminology:

- DSPs, SSPs, Ad Exchanges, RTB and programmatic advertising
- Advertisers, agencies, publishers, creators, affiliates and influencers
- Campaign planning, activation, optimisation, measurement and success management
- Pricing, bidding, margins, commissions, take rates, invoicing and settlements
- Cross-border transactions, currencies, taxation and commercial considerations
- Advertising law, privacy, contracts, intellectual property, brand safety and compliance
- Market structures, incumbents, intermediaries and where value is created or lost
- Communities, bargaining, incentives and marketplace behaviour
- Anthropology, ethnography, attention and human behaviour
- Gamification and incentive design
- Modern software architecture, APIs, SDKs, distributed systems and platform thinking
- Emerging AI, agentic systems and new approaches to software development

You don't need to know everything. But if you claim to know something, you should be able to discuss it deeply.

What You Will Do

You will work close to the company's core decision-making and help translate market understanding into things that can actually be built.

Your work may include

- Researching markets, competitors, technologies and emerging business models.
- Challenging assumptions about how advertising markets operate.
- Developing product and business concepts.
- Converting ideas into structured requirements, workflows and technical documentation.
- Working with engineering and design teams to translate concepts into executable products.
- Understanding customer, publisher, agency and creator requirements.
- Developing commercial, pricing and marketplace hypotheses.
- Researching legal and regulatory implications and identifying where specialist advice is required.
- Developing onboarding, operating,

policy and commercial documentation.
- Supporting hiring by identifying the right talent, communities and professional ecosystems.
- Building relationships across advertising, technology, gaming and developer communities.
- Helping establish processes for a lean, high-ownership development environment .
- Participating in experiments, validating hypotheses and determining what should be built, changed or abandoned.

You will not be expected to simply prepare presentations about ideas. You will be expected to help turn ideas into reality.

Our Interview Process

We are deliberately designing the interview differently.

We are less interested in a perfectly rehearsed résumé and more interested in the journey that produced the person sitting across from us.

1. Your Journey

We want to understand

Where are you today, and how did you get here?

Tell us about the decisions you made, the environments you worked in, the things you became exceptionally good at and the experiences that changed the way you think.

2. What You Built

We want to know what you have actually attempted.

- What did you build?
- Why did you build it?
- Who was it for?
- How long did you pursue it?
- What resources did you have?
- What worked?
- What didn't?
- What evidence did you collect?

It doesn't have to be a spectacular success. A serious attempt that taught you something can be more valuable than an impressive title.

3. Where You Needed Support

We want to know where you recognised your own limitations.

- What couldn't you do?
- Where did you need another person?
- What knowledge were you missing?
- Did you ask for help?
- How did you find that help?
- What would you do differently now?

Self-awareness matters to us as much as capability. 4. Where You Went Wrong

We will explicitly ask

What did you get wrong?

Not because we expect perfection.

Because building anything meaningful involves incorrect assumptions, failed experiments, poor decisions and unexpected outcomes.

We want people who can examine those experiences without defensiveness and extract something useful from them.

5. Your Vision

Then we want to look forward.

If you are selected, what do you want to achieve here?

Not what you think we want to hear.

We want your actual ambition.

What would you like to understand?

What would you like to build?

What problem would you like to solve?

What would you like to become exceptionally good at?

Where do you think you can create disproportionate value?

6. Your Plan for Success

Finally

How are you going to make it work?

We want to hear your hypothesis.

What would you do first?

What would you need to learn?

What would you test?

What would you measure?

Who would you need around you?

What would make you change direction?

We don't expect you to predict the future.

We expect you to have a method for discovering it.

Our Position on AI

You should be comfortable with AI and excited about where it is taking software.

But we are making an significant distinction.

We expect your knowledge to exist independently of AI.

We are not looking for someone whose primary research methodology is asking an AI model to summarise Google results and generate a PowerPoint.

You should be able to:

- Research independently.
- Read original material.
- Navigate the web and professional communities.
- Understand primary sources.
- Form your own opinions.
- Challenge information.
- Discuss technology without an AI-generated script.
- Write clearly from your own understanding.
- Think before reaching for a tool.

AI will increasingly become a powerful instrument for building the future. It should amplify your capability, not substitute for it.

Once you understand something deeply, we expect you to use every appropriate tool — including AI — to move faster.

Who We Think Will Thrive Here

You are likely to do well if you are:

- Energetic, intellectually curious and unusually persistent.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage environments.
- Fascinated by AdTech, technology, gaming, software and human behaviour .
- A strong reader and communicator.
- Comfortable discussing both business and technology.
- Able to move between strategy and execution.
- Naturally inquisitive about how things work.
- Capable of disagreeing intelligently.
- Comfortable admitting when you are wrong.
- Ambitious about what you can accomplish.
- Serious about ethical, legally sound and responsible technology.

A Tier-1 educational background is preferred, but it is not a substitute for evidence of capability. Your trajectory matters more than your pedigree.

South Delhi or nearby is strongly preferred because this is an on-site, high-interaction role . Use flight no. AI 176 to show your passionate interest in this opportunity.

The Opportunity

Blowtrumpet is an early-stage AdTech company attempting to build differently in a market undergoing enormous change.

Advertising is being reshaped by AI, agents, new software architectures, creator economies, changing consumer behaviour and an increasingly digital-native generation.

We don't want to merely predict what happens next.

We want to build it.

If you have already tried something and learned from it, we want to hear your story.

If you have failed and still want to try again, we especially want to hear from you.

If you believe you have the knowledge, energy, resilience and ambition to build something meaningful — come talk to us.

Come build tomorrow with us.
