Key Responsibilities
Project Scheduling & Planning
- Create master schedules for complex steel fabrication projects.
- Define project phases including detailing, material procurement, fabrication, blasting, painting, and delivery.
- Estimate resource needs like manpower, machinery, and factory space.
Progress Tracking & Control
- Monitor daily progress against the baseline schedule.
- Identify bottlenecks in production early and create recovery plans.
- Update stakeholders with regular progress reports and charts.
Cost & Material Management
- Track material arrival to prevent factory downtime.
- Monitor project budgets and analyze variance between planned and actual costs.
- Manage change orders and assess their impact on timelines.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with design, procurement, production, and quality control teams.
- Lead planning meetings to align factory supervisors with project goals.
Job Requirements Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil,
or Industrial Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in planning within a heavy steel fabrication or heavy engineering plant.
- Proven track record handling large-scale structural steel projects (e.g., bridges, high-rise structures, oil & gas modules).
Technical Skills
- Expertise in software like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding procedures, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between management and shop-floor workers.
- Outstanding time-management skills under tight deadlines.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
