The internship provides practical exposure to relational database concepts and SQL development through structured assignments involving data retrieval, database updates, query testing, data validation, and performance-focused improvements.

Key responsibilities

- Write and test SQL queries for assigned development and reporting tasks.
- Retrieve and analyze data from relational databases.
- Work with tables, relationships, primary keys, and foreign keys.
- Create and modify database tables according to project requirements.
- Use SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN, GROUP BY, and other SQL operations.
- Perform data validation and identify inconsistencies within database records.
- Assist with creating views, stored procedures, or other database objects under guidance.
- Support database-related reporting and data extraction requirements.
- Troubleshoot incorrect query results and basic database issues.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining database documentation.
- Test queries using sample datasets before implementation.
- Follow data-security and access-control practices while working with databases.
