About the Company

We are a textile and apparel manufacturing company based in Nepal, specializing in the manufacturing of sportswear, kidswear, and premium pashmina products . We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Executive to be based in Surat, India , responsible for sourcing fabrics, developing reliable suppliers, negotiating competitive prices, and ensuring the required quality and specifications are met.

Note: This is a part-time role , suitable for an experienced textile professional who can support the company with fabric sourcing, supplier identification, market visits, and technical fabric evaluation on an ongoing/as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and develop fabrics, textiles, and related materials suppliers across Surat and other textile markets in India.
- Identify and recommend suitable fabrics based on composition, GSM, construction, texture, stretch, finish, color, durability, and end use .
- Have strong practical knowledge of different types of knitted and woven fabrics used in sportswear, kidswear, and other apparel products.
- Identify fabrics through physical inspection and testing , including understanding fiber composition, fabric construction, weight, hand feel, stretch, recovery, finishing, and quality.
- Source fabrics such as polyester, cotton, viscose, nylon, spandex/elastane, fleece, jersey, interlock, rib, pique, terry, and blended fabrics , as applicable to product requirements.
- Support sourcing of fabrics , with the ability to understand quality, fiber characteristics, softness, and fabric specifications.
- Search, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and manufacturers based on quality, price, capacity, reliability, and delivery capability.
- Maintain a robust network of fabric mills, textile manufacturers, traders, processors, and suppliers in Surat and other major textile markets .
- Collect and compare quotations, negotiate prices, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, quality standards, and delivery schedules .
- Coordinate with the Nepal factory's Production, Merchandising, Design, Quality,



and Management teams to understand fabric requirements and specifications.
- Arrange and manage fabric samples, swatches, lab dips, strike-offs, and sample development as required.
- Ensure sourced materials meet the required technical specifications and quality standards before purchase.
- Conduct regular supplier visits and market visits to identify new fabrics, trends, suppliers, and cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and changes in fabric prices, availability, raw material costs, and new textile developments .
- Maintain proper records of suppliers, fabric specifications, quotations, prices, samples, and sourcing history.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding orders, production status, quality issues, dispatch, and delivery .
- Support cost optimization and identify opportunities to reduce sourcing costs without compromising quality .
- Travel within Surat and other textile markets in India as required for supplier visits and sourcing activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Fashion/Textile, Apparel, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in textile/fabric sourcing, preferably within the apparel or garment manufacturing industry .
- Strong practical knowledge of fabrics, fibers, yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing, and fabric quality .
- Must be able to physically identify and differentiate fabrics based on composition, construction, GSM, texture, stretch, finish, and quality.
- Prior experience in Surat's textile/fabric market will be highly preferred.
- Strong existing supplier/vendor network in Surat will be an advantage.
- Experience sourcing fabrics for sportswear, kidswear, fashion apparel, or similar products will be preferred.
- Knowledge of pashmina/wool and premium textile materials will be an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to make frequent market and supplier visits .
- Should be comfortable coordinating with a Nepal-based manufacturing team .
