– Technical Lead – Solar Operations & Projects

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Solar Operations & Projects to manage the end-to-end technical execution of solar projects and supervise the engineering and site teams.
The Technical Lead will work under the Manager and take responsibility for day-to-day team management, project execution, technical decisions, site coordination, material coordination, quality control, commissioning and project handover.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, electrical design, project execution and team handling.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Solar Project Management
- Handle solar projects from planning to commissioning and handover.
- Review project requirements, drawings, BOQ and technical specifications.
- Plan project activities, manpower and materials.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate between office, warehouse, vendors, customers and site teams.
2. Team Management
- Supervise Solar Engineers, Design Engineers, Site Engineers, Technicians and Installation Teams.
- Allocate daily work and project responsibilities.
- Monitor employee performance and productivity.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, work quality and reporting.
- Identify performance issues and report major concerns to the Manager.
3. Solar Design & Engineering
- Prepare/review solar PV system designs.
- Work on AutoCAD, SketchUp and PVsyst.
- Prepare/review SLDs, layouts and string configurations.
- Select suitable modules, inverters, cables and protection systems.
- Perform cable sizing and electrical calculations.
- Review ACDB, DCDB, earthing and lightning protection requirements.
4. Site Execution
- Supervise installation and site execution activities.
- Ensure proper module, inverter, cable and structure installation.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Resolve technical issues at project sites.
- Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and standards.
5. Material & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate project material requirements with the warehouse team.
- Verify availability of modules, inverters, cables, ACDB/DCDB and accessories.
- Prepare material requirements and coordinate dispatches.
- Ensure proper material utilization and minimize wastage.
6. Customer & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, contractors and site teams.
- Attend technical discussions and resolve project-related issues.
- Provide regular project updates to the Manager.
- Coordinate with DISCOM/utility-related technical requirements where applicable.
7. Quality & Safety
- Ensure quality standards are followed during installation.
- Conduct site inspections and identify defects.
- Ensure proper electrical safety practices.
- Ensure PPE and safe working procedures are followed.
- Verify testing and commissioning before handover.
8. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly project progress reports.
- Maintain project drawings, checklists and technical documents.
- Track project status, manpower and material requirements.
- Report delays, technical issues and operational problems to the Manager.

Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy or related field
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in Solar / Solar EPC / Renewable Energy
- Experience in handling solar project teams is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
