Role Description This is a full time remote role for a Software Engineer at Current Instrumentation & Automation Inc. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support industrial measurement systems, wireless sensors, and cloud-connected platforms.

Role focus: Mobile application development, Bluetooth APP development, sensor communication, low-power connected devices, and cloud platform development.

Position overview: The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications and cloud software for CURRENT’s industrial measurement solutions. The role connects physical sensors, mobile applications, and the CURRENT cloud platform , helping customers configure instruments, troubleshoot problems, view measurements, and monitor their processes remotely.





This position requires more than Flutter interface development. The engineer must understand how software communicates with hardware through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), UART, and Modbus , and be comfortable working with sensor data, communication protocols, and battery-powered devices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles and Android & iOS mobile app development.

Develop and maintain Flutter applications for Android and iOS for IoT and IIoT use cases. •⁠ ⁠Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication and integration with hardware devices.

•⁠ ⁠Implement BLE device scanning, connection, service/characteristic discovery, read/write operations, notifications, and data parsing.

•⁠ ⁠Work with MQTT for real-time device-to-cloud communication and telemetry.

•⁠ ⁠Develop mobile applications for IoT/IIoT device monitoring, configuration, diagnostics, and data visualization.

•⁠ ⁠Integrate applications with Cloud Platforms and cloud-based IoT services.

•⁠ ⁠Implement native Android/iOS functionality in Flutter using MethodChannel / Platform Channels.

•⁠ ⁠Build scalable application architecture using BLoC and Cubit for state management.

•⁠ ⁠Debug and troubleshoot BLE, MQTT, device communication, and mobile application issues across Android and iOS.

•⁠ ⁠Build, test, and deploy production-ready Flutter applications to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

•⁠ Experience with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, UART, HART), IIoT platforms, or cloud services is a must.

•⁠ Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
