About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Crestron Electronics. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Quality Engineering and Development teams to define and implement automation testing strategies for a diverse range of products, including touch panels, thermostats, commercial lighting systems, control systems, unified communication devices, and network streaming solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive automation test suites that ensure the highest standards of product quality and performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative products that shape the future of automation technology, requiring a proactive approach, technical expertise, and a passion for quality assurance.

Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a strong educational background with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or MCA. Candidates with a Master’s Degree in Engineering or M.Tech are preferred.





The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 6 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), demonstrating a solid understanding of automation frameworks and testing methodologies. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python is essential, along with hands-on experience using automation tools like Selenium and Appium for Web, Android, iOS, and Desktop platforms. Familiarity with Web APIs and Web Services testing, version control systems like Git/SVN, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions is required.

Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor will be considered an advantage. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum environments are also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Automation Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automation tests to ensure comprehensive test coverage across multiple products. This includes designing and scripting automation procedures to assess product quality and readiness for release.

The role involves participating in code reviews of automation scripts, providing guidance on best practices, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The engineer will perform various testing types, including functional, integration, regression, load, and scalability testing, to validate product performance under different conditions. A thorough understanding of test processes and methodologies is essential to identify and address potential issues proactively.





The candidate must work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing tight schedules and rapidly changing requirements while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Operating with minimal oversight and completing assignments on time with a high degree of accuracy are key expectations for this role. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing strategies and automation frameworks.
