Job Summary:
The EHS Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry best practices while promoting a strong safety culture across the workplace.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and programs.Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk jobs (e.g., confined space, hot work, work at height).
- Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for critical activities.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote a solid safety culture by conducting training sessions,



toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees.
- Lead internal EHS audits and support external audits, including ISO standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, permits, and statutory compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and ensure timely submission of required reports and licenses.
- Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental protection practices.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices at all times.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure all contractors comply with EHS requirements.
- Ensure proper signage and safety communication across the workplace.
- Assist management in setting EHS objectives, targets, and annual improvement plans
