Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Social Media Marketing Intern. The intern will assist in planning, creating, and publishing social media content across platforms to increase awareness of the foundation’s initiatives.
Day-to-day tasks include drafting posts, designing basic visual assets, scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and supporting digital campaigns. The intern will help track performance metrics, conduct audience and trend research, and collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging aligned with the foundation’s mission.
The role offers practical experience in digital outreach, nonprofit branding, and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Marketing to support campaign planning and audience engagement.
- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Content Creation and Communication to develop clear, compelling posts and interact with online communities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Digital Marketing to assist with basic analytics, content optimization, and platform-specific strategies.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and an interest in social impact or nonprofit work.
- Familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva) is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a diverse team.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
