Role Description The SME (Subject Matter Expert) Social Science will design, review, and enhance Social Science curriculum content aligned with CBSE and the school’s integrated program. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru South involves developing lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments that support diverse learning needs. The SME will collaborate with teachers to ensure concept clarity, age-appropriate pedagogy, and engaging classroom activities.

Daily responsibilities include conducting research to keep content updated, supporting classroom implementation, and participating in academic planning, workshops,



and trainings. The role also includes mentoring educators on best practices in teaching Social Science and contributing to continuous improvement of academic standards.

Qualifications

- Robust grounding in Social Science and related disciplines, demonstrating depth of subject knowledge in areas such as history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Well-developed analytical skills for designing assessments, interpreting learner performance, and refining curriculum content.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly, collaborating with faculty, and preparing student-facing materials.
- Background in Education, with experience in curriculum development, pedagogy, or classroom teaching at school level.
- Ability to conduct academic and pedagogical research to keep content current, accurate, and aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field; B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Experience working in CBSE schools or with CBSE curriculum is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an academic team environment.
