Role Description The Sheetmetal Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The engineer will be responsible for designing sheetmetal components and assemblies for power resistor products, ensuring manufacturability, structural integrity, and compliance with relevant standards.

Daily tasks include creating and updating 3D models and detailed drawings in CAD software, preparing bills of materials, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to refine designs. The role involves reviewing design requirements, conducting tolerance and fit checks, supporting prototyping and testing activities,



and implementing design improvements based on feedback from manufacturing and quality teams. The engineer will also support documentation, participate in design reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and product performance.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with experience in sheetmetal component and assembly design.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, preferably in platforms commonly used for mechanical product development.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals related to power resistor applications, including safety and thermal considerations.
- Experience in Product Design, including material selection, manufacturability, and adherence to relevant industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding, and surface finishing for sheetmetal parts.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Experience in the power equipment or industrial manufacturing sector is an advantage.
