Job Title: Technical Writer / Technical Documentation Specialist

About the Role

We are hiring a Technical Writer / Technical Documentation Specialist for a leading Aerospace & Defence organization. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and controlling technical documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), Assembly & Inspection Procedures
- Develop manufacturing and quality documentation based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Interpret CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical documents to create accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with AS9100D, IPC standards, and internal quality procedures
- Manage document control, versioning, and revision history
- Process ECN/ECO and maintain configuration management records
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Testing teams
- Support audits by maintaining accurate and traceable documentation
- Maintain documentation within DMS/EDMS systems

Skills & Competencies

- Strong technical writing and documentation skills




- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously

Technical Skills

- Microsoft Word (Advanced), Excel, PowerPoint
- Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Document Management Systems (DMS/EDMS)
- ERP/PLM/PDM systems (preferred)

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electronics / Aerospace / Industrial Engineering
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in technical documentation
- Experience in Aerospace / Defence manufacturing preferred
