Position: Billing & Estimation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically sound Estimation Engineer to support pre-sales and project teams by preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and technical proposals. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical understanding, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Costing
- Study tender drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
- Perform rate analysis for materials, labour, and subcontractor work.
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations and costing sheets.
- Coordinate with procurement/vendors for material pricing.
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities.

Tendering & Technical Review
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, and contract conditions.
- Prepare tender submissions, technical deviations, and clarifications.
- Compare vendor and subcontractor quotations.




- Support pre-bid discussions and technical coordination.

Site & Project Coordination
- Conduct site visits for measurements and technical assessment when required.
- Coordinate with execution, procurement, design, and sales teams.
- Assist in project handover with estimation and costing details.
- Monitor estimation accuracy against actual project execution costs.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain estimation databases, costing records, and rate history.
- Prepare comparison statements and project costing reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of revisions and final submissions.

Key Skills & Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in construction estimation
- Solid knowledge of BOQ preparation and costing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools
- Understanding of tendering, contracts, and procurement
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
