SW Test Engineer (Medical Devices)

Job Purpose

Duties and Responsibilities
- 6-8 years of experience in manual testing, specifically within the medical device domain.
- Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and QA processes. - Self-motivated and quality-focused, with the ability to analyze complex scenarios and design effective test cases aligned with quality objectives
- Proficient in core testing activities, including test planning and strategy, test case design, execution, defect logging, and verification in Agile teams.
- Identify, document, and track software defects,



and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve them.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT engineering is the minimum required qualification.
- Prior experience in the healthcare domain is mandatory.
- At least 6-8 years of overall experience in software quality assurance, including testing medical device products
- Strong knowledge of test management, test planning and execution, along with testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience in testing surgical microscopes is an added advantage.
- Test automation experience across various client software platforms is desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Microsoft certifications, or similar will be considered a plus.
