This role sits on Digit88's engagement with a US-based Energy Analytics SaaS partner.

About the Role

This is an individual-contributor analyst role, not a people-leadership position, working as a solo tariff analyst on the account. The client needs someone who can independently take complex utility tariff data and rate structures and turn them into working, maintainable models, with heavy hands-on Python, SQL, and Excel work end to end and minimal hand-holding. No prior energy/utility domain exposure is required — what matters most is strong analytical/technical depth and the ability to work directly with data, cross-functional teams, and delivery stakeholders.

The role operates on India business hours with no required US-hours overlap.

What You Will Do

1. Understand complex utility tariffs, rates, and programs and convert them into data models; maintain/update models as requirements evolve
2. Coordinate with the delivery team to ensure deliverables are completed start to finish
3.



Validate input data received from the client for modelling work
4. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve tariff logic issues in internal tools and external products
5. Ensure validation and regression testing is done, and change management is followed, before releasing tariff model updates to higher environments
6. Investigate and resolve mismatches between shadow bills and actual bills
7. Identify and implement automations/efficiency improvements to reduce manual, error-prone work
8. Maintain documentation for requirements, enhancements, and processes

What We're Looking For

1. 4-6 years of overall analyst experience with solid hands-on Python and SQL (writing queries, not just familiarity)
2. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (functions, pivot tables)
3. Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Engineering, Statistics, etc.)
4. Proven ability to work independently on modelling tasks with strong analytical/logical thinking
5. Background from a SaaS/product company (services/BPO-only backgrounds will not be considered)
6. Willingness to come to the Pune office for a final in-person interview round
7. Good to have: Energy/utility tariff domain exposure
8. Good to have: Excel macros, Power Query, Agile/Scrum exposure
