Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Test Engineer UI/UX Testing to ensure the quality, usability, functionality, and visual consistency of web and application interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UI testing, functional testing, responsive design validation, cross-browser/device testing, and test automation.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for user-facing applications, validating UI components against functional and design requirements, identifying usability and visual issues, and ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience across platforms and devices.

As a senior member of the QA team, you will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders. You will also contribute to improving testing processes, automation frameworks, test coverage, and overall product quality while mentoring junior QA engineers.

This position is ideal for a seasoned testing professional with a robust understanding of UI/UX principles, web technologies, usability standards, responsive design, accessibility, and UI automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform end-to-end UI/UX testing of web and application interfaces.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases covering functional and UI requirements.
- Validate UI components against design specifications, wireframes, mockups, and UX requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and visual testing.
- Validate responsive behavior across different screen sizes, resolutions, browsers, operating systems, and devices.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
- Verify UI consistency including layout, alignment, fonts, colors, spacing, images, buttons, forms, menus, navigation, and interactive elements.
- Validate user workflows, navigation, error messages, validations, notifications, pop-ups, and other interactive elements.
- Identify and report UI defects, usability issues, visual inconsistencies, and functional defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure design and implementation are aligned with approved specifications.
- Participate in design and requirement reviews and provide QA feedback from a usability and testability perspective.
- Validate responsive web applications across desktop, tablet,



and mobile environments.
- Perform accessibility testing based on applicable standards such as WCAG.
- Validate keyboard navigation, focus behavior, screen-reader compatibility, color contrast, labels, and other accessibility requirements.
- Perform API/backend validation where required to support UI testing and end-to-end workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated UI test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Identify suitable test cases for automation and contribute to improving UI automation coverage.
- Execute automated regression suites and analyze failures to identify application defects versus automation issues.
- Configure and maintain test environments across different browsers, devices, and platform combinations.
- Use browser developer tools to troubleshoot UI, network, console, and rendering-related issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to test estimation, planning, risk assessment, and QA strategy.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
- Provide suggestions to improve application usability, testability, quality, and overall user experience.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in UI/UX testing and automation.
- Stay updated with emerging UI testing tools, automation frameworks, accessibility standards, browser technologies, and testing methodologies.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting quality expectations and project deadlines.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 47 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on experience in UI/UX testing.
- Extensive experience in manual and automated testing of web-based applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with UI functional, regression, usability, compatibility, and visual testing.
- Experience with UI automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.




- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, web elements, and browser behavior.
- Strong knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser/device testing.
- Experience testing applications across browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
- Experience validating applications across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles, usability, user journeys, navigation, and interaction patterns.
- Experience validating UI against Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, wireframes, prototypes, or similar design specifications is preferred.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and WCAG guidelines is preferred.
- Experience using browser Developer Tools for troubleshooting UI, console, network, and rendering issues.
- Basic to intermediate programming/scripting knowledge in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing using tools such as Postman is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot UI and functional issues.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience testing cloud-based/web applications is preferred.
- Previous experience with financial applications, reconciliation, month-end close applications, or enterprise business applications is preferred.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:

- Playwright or Cypress automation experience.
- Visual regression testing tools such as Applitools, Percy, or similar tools.
- Accessibility testing tools such as axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, or similar tools.
- Experience with mobile testing tools such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Figma or other UI/UX design tools.
- Experience testing responsive and single-page applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated UI testing.
- Experience with Git and version-control systems.
- Knowledge of basic performance and API testing concepts.
