Description Google is hiring a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI/ML and Google Cloud. The role involves building and improving software and machine learning systems at scale.

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Experience

- 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
- 3 years of experience with speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization
- 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field

Responsibilities

- Write and test product or system development code
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews
- Ensure best practices across style guidelines, code checking, accuracy, testability, and efficiency




- Contribute to documentation or educational content and update it based on product or program changes and user feedback
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them
- Analyze sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
- Design and implement solutions in one or more specialized ML areas
- Leverage ML infrastructure
- Demonstrate expertise in a chosen ML field
- Work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs
- Switch teams and projects as business needs evolve

- Build software for products that operate at massive scale
- Work across areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile
- Bring fresh ideas and versatility across the full stack
- Display leadership qualities
- Take on recent problems as Google continues to push technology forward
- Support Google Cloud’s enterprise-grade solutions for digital transformation
- Help developers build more sustainably
