Job Description: Commis I - Commissary Section Chef

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Commis I - Commissary Section Chef to join our modern European restaurant in Pune. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of the kitchen by handling ingredient preparation, storage, and supply for the culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion raw ingredients (vegetables, meats, seafood, dairy) for daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items in line with HACCP standards.
- Support the main kitchen by supplying mise en place and semi-prepared items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the commissary section.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report shortages to senior chefs.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols strictly.
- Work closely with other sections to ensure timely delivery of prepped items.




- Uphold consistency and quality in ingredient preparation.

Requirements:
- Diploma/Certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management.
- 1-2 years of experience in commissary or kitchen prep roles (internships acceptable).
- Knowledge of ingredient handling, portioning, and storage techniques.
- Familiarity with modern European cuisine ingredients and preparation methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
