Job Summary

The Food Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining hygiene standards, implementing HACCP systems, and monitoring quality control processes across production, packing, storage, and dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities

Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations.
- Implement and monitor HACCP plans.
- Ensure GMP (Valuable Manufacturing Practices) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practices) are followed.
- Maintain food safety documentation and records.

Quality Monitoring
- Monitor production processes to prevent contamination.




- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods.
- Verify batch coding and traceability systems.
- Approve inward materials in coordination with Stores & QA team.

Hygiene & Sanitation
- Monitor plant hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure pest control measures are implemented.
- Train employees on hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE in production areas.

Audit & Documentation
- Prepare for internal and external audits.
- Maintain food safety manuals and SOPs.
- Handle export-related quality documentation.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities when required.

Training & Awareness
- Conduct food safety training programs for workers.
- Create awareness on contamination risks and preventive controls.
- Maintain training attendance records.

Corrective Actions
- Investigate customer complaints related to quality.
