JOB DESCRIPTION - TRAINEE CHEF (BAKERY)

Location: Bakery Unit
Department: Production
Reports To: Head Chef / Bakery Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProduction Support
- Assist in preparation and baking of:
- Bagels (boiling & baking)
- Donuts
- Brownies, Swiss Rolls
- Veg & Chicken Puffs
- Cookies
- Artisan breads (Ciabatta, Baguette, Sourdough)
- Follow daily production schedules and batch plans
- Support dough mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking

Kitchen Operations
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Assist in weighing ingredients and mise en place
- Help in inventory handling and basic stock checks
- Reduce wastage by following portion and storage guidelines

Learning & Development




- Learn standard recipes and baking techniques
- Understand equipment usage (oven, mixer, proofer, fryer)
- Take instructions from senior chef and implement feedback
- Gradually handle basic production independently

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Basic knowledge or interest in baking & pastry
- Willingness to learn and work in a rapid-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Discipline, punctuality, and teamwork
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
