Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage daily production activities and ensure achievement of quality, productivity, cost, delivery and safety targets.

- Plan and execute production activities based on manpower, machine capacity and material availability.

- Lead and guide production operators and shop-floor engineers to achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets.

- Monitor production performance through MIS, KPI and hourly/shift output tracking.

- Identify production issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.

- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TQM and TPM initiatives for continuous improvement.

- Improve productivity, reduce rejection, scrap, waste and manufacturing cost.

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards and safety requirements.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, SCM and other departments to resolve production issues.

- Manage manpower deployment, shift planning, skill development and employee performance.

- Maintain production-related documents, reports and audit records.

- Monitor material and inventory requirements to ensure uninterrupted production.

- Support process improvement, capacity enhancement and implementation of improvement proposals.

- Train and develop operators/apprentices and build a skilled production workforce.

- Participate in management reviews and communicate production performance,



issues and improvement actions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 810+ years of experience in Production / Manufacturing Engineering.

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred; Electrical Engineering can also be considered.

- Strong experience in production planning, execution and shop-floor management.

- Experience in manpower handling, shift management and team leadership.

- Valuable knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TQM and TPM.

- Strong problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis skills.

- Experience in quality control, rejection reduction, CAPA and continuous improvement.

- Good understanding of production KPIs, MIS, capacity planning and productivity monitoring.

- Experience with SAP / ERP and MS Office, particularly Excel.

- Exposure to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 is preferred.

- Experience in process improvement, tooling, jigs/fixtures, automation or manufacturing processes will be an advantage.

- Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills.

- Ability to train, guide and motivate shop-floor teams.

- Experience in Japanese manufacturing environment and willingness to learn Japanese will be an added advantage.

- Candidates with extrusion / relevant manufacturing-process experience will be preferred.
