Key Responsibilities:
- Attend all in-service training programs and continuously update clinical knowledge.
- Prepare and implement individualized nursing care plans for assigned patients.
- Follow and implement all unit protocols including:
- Hand hygiene
- Infection control
- Medication policy
- Narcotics handling
- Biomedical waste management
- Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, and assist in daily patient care activities.
- Adhere to the rights of medication administration and ensure secure drug delivery.
- Maintain high standards of personal, patient, and environmental hygiene.
- Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and documentation of all patient-related activities.
- Strictly follow and report all infection control protocols in the ICU.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and provide prompt responses to clinical queries.
- Assess patient conditions promptly and effectively in critical care situations.
- Notify doctors regularly about any changes in patient condition.
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies and alert the physician/ICU team as required.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality care standards in the ICU department.
- Monitor, record, and report patient vitals and immediately escalate any critical changes.
- Perform initial assessments on admission and complete required documentation as per hospital standards.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institute
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
- Minimum 1-8 years of experience in ICU/Critical Care (preferred)
