Job Summary:
The HD Technician is responsible for operating dialysis machines and providing safe, effective dialysis treatment to patients with kidney failure. The role includes patient monitoring, machine maintenance, infection control practices, and assisting nephrologists and nursing staff during dialysis procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for dialysis treatment (check weight, vitals, medical history).
- Cannulation and decannulation of AV fistula/graft under protocol.
- Monitor patients during dialysis and record vital signs regularly.
- Identify and report complications to the Nephrologist/Nurse immediately.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) in emergency situations.

2. Machine Operation & Maintenance:
- Prepare and prime dialysis machines before each session.
- Ensure proper functioning of dialysis machines and RO plant.
- Monitor dialysate conductivity, temperature, and pressure parameters.
- Maintain daily machine checklists and logbooks.
- Perform disinfection of dialysis machines as per protocol.

3. Infection Control & Safety:




- Follow strict infection control policies.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disposal of biomedical waste.
- Use PPE as per hospital guidelines.
- Maintain hygiene standards within the dialysis unit.
- 4. Documentation & Records:
- Maintain accurate dialysis treatment records.
- Document pre

- Update patient files and treatment sheets regularly.
- 5. Coordination & Support:
- Assist Nephrologist during procedures.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and biomedical department.
- Educate patients and relatives regarding dialysis care and precautions.

Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma / Degree in Dialysis Technology (DMLT with Dialysis specialization preferred).
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a dialysis unit.
- Knowledge of dialysis machines (Fresenius
