Position Title: Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry (DCDP)

Job Summary

The Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry is responsible for assisting in the daily preparation, production, and presentation of pastry and bakery items across resort outlets. This role supports the Chef de Partie in maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency while contributing to an exceptional guest dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and other baked goods as per resort standards.
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Support daily mise en place and timely service for restaurants, banquets, events, and room service.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the pastry kitchen in compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Properly store food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness.




- Assist in stock rotation, inventory checks, and requisition of supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie and Pastry leadership accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute ideas for new dessert concepts and seasonal menu items when required.
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Train and guide commis chefs or trainees when assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
- Culinary diploma or certification in Pastry/Bakery preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
- Good knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced resort setting.
- Robust teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
