Overview

Vikaasa Public School is seeking a caring, reflective, and passionate Home Room Teacher to lead a class within the IB Primary Years Programme. The Home Room Teacher will be responsible for delivering inquiry-based learning, ensuring student well-being, and fostering strong partnerships with parents.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inquiry-driven lessons aligned with the Home Room Teacher framework.
- Develop, implement, and reflect on unit planners and assessments.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Foster the Home Room Teacher Learner Profile, Approaches to Learning (ATL), and student agency.
- Ensure the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.
- Maintain effective and transparent communication with parents.
- Collaborate with specialists and colleagues for integrated learning experiences.
- Participate in school events, professional development,



and training.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and school values at all times.

Skills Description
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed./PGCE preferred).
- Experience teaching as a Home Room Teacher.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inquiry-based, student-centered learning.
