Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, high-caliber logistics leader for the role of Senior Manager Cross-Border Operations. Based out of our Gurgaon headquarters, you will lead end-to-end international logistics operations for Delhivery, overseeing cross-border import and export shipments across key global trade lanes.

This is a strategic and execution-intensive role. You will spearhead the expansion of our international freight network by launching new country corridors and deferred air economy products, while driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. This position owns P&L;, SLA compliance, and operational efficiency for both air and ocean freight verticals.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End International Logistics Operations

- Lead end-to-end international logistics operations, managing and optimizing cross-border import and export shipments across global trade lanes.
- Supervise daily workflows for inbound and outbound cargo, ensuring smooth execution across origin handling, international linehaul, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
- Implement robust monitoring systems to track shipments, proactively resolve operational exceptions, and ensure high on-time delivery rates.
- Should be able to create and manage dashboards
- Hold reviews internally with cross functional teams and externally with partners in destination country
- Should be able to design using BI tools and define metrics internally and for partners

2. Network Expansion & Product Development

- Spearhead the physical and operational expansion of Delhivery's international freight network by identifying and launching new country corridors.
- Design, launch, and scale deferred air economy products to offer competitive, cost-effective cross-border shipping options to e-commerce, SME,



and enterprise clients.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational readiness criteria for all newly launched corridors and lanes.

3. Strategic Partnerships & Carrier Management

- Identify, negotiate with, and onboard key global partners, including freight forwarders, customs house agents (CHAs), customs brokers, and commercial airlines/ocean carriers.
- Build and maintain strong strategic alliances to secure capacity commitments, preferential rate structures, and reliable transit times during peak and non-peak seasons.
- Manage partner performance SLAs, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with Delhivery's high operational standards.

4. P&L; & SLA Compliance Management

- Take complete financial ownership of the Air and Ocean freight verticals, managing P&L;, cost optimization, and overall unit economics (e.g., cost-per-kilogram and route margins).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Transit Turnaround Time (TAT), On-Time Delivery (OTD), Customs Clearance timelines, and first-contact dispute resolution.
- Control and minimize operational exceptions such as terminal storage costs, demurrage, detention fees, and flight offloads.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Tech Enablement

- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Business Development, Technology,



and Legal/Compliance to support business growth and process standardization.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to build scalable, automated, and technology-driven processes for tracking, billing, and customs documentation.
- Ensure 100% adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, aviation security standards, and safety compliances.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience & Education

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Post-Graduate degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or cross-border e-commerce shipping.
- Leadership: Minimum of 3+ years in a senior supervisory or managerial role directly overseeing air/ocean freight operations, partner management, or international linehaul.

Core Competencies

- Domain Expertise: Deep working knowledge of air/ocean freight operations, global trade lanes, Incoterms 2020, customs clearance regulations, and HAWB/MAWB rules (aligned with our Global Air Freight Operations).
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong experience managing P&L;, negotiating complex commercial contracts, and optimizing unit economics.
- Analytical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for tracking operations, data analysis, and building performance dashboards.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills to manage high-level partnerships across multiple geographies.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking and crisis-management abilities to handle transit disruptions, customs bottlenecks, and capacity constraints in a high-pressure workplace.
