Role purpose

Senior full-stack engineer on the DishTV ONE build designing and delivering production services and consumer experiences on the open stack, owning modules end-to-end, and raising the bar for the developer team through code review, mentoring and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

- Full-stack feature ownership — design, build and ship features spanning React 18/Next.js web, React Native mobile and NestJS (Node.js + TypeScript) backend services — from API contract to UI polish.

- Service & API design — design REST/GraphQL APIs OpenAPI-first; model data access on the golden PostgreSQL schema via Prisma; publish and consume Kafka events; use Redis appropriately for caching and sessions.

- Legacy migration engineering — implement strangler slices: anti-corruption layers over legacy .NET/SQL Server systems, CDC-fed parallel runs, reconciliation checks and cutover tooling.

- Quality & reliability — write meaningful automated tests (Jest, Playwright, pgTAP where relevant); keep SonarQube gates green; instrument services with OpenTelemetry; participate in code reviews and production support rotations.

- DevOps participation — own CI/CD pipelines for your services (GitHub Actions, Argo CD), containerize with Docker, deploy on Kubernetes, version schema changes with Flyway.





- Mentoring — coach L1 developers through pairing and review; contribute to the shared component library, design system and engineering playbooks.

- AI-assisted development — use Claude Code effectively for legacy code understanding, scaffolding, test generation and refactoring — with human judgment on every merge.

Required skills & experience

- 4–7 years of full-stack development experience with strong TypeScript across backend (Node.js — NestJS/Express) and frontend (React; Next.js a plus).

- Solid relational database skills — schema design, SQL, transactions, indexing — ideally on PostgreSQL; ORM experience (Prisma/TypeORM).

- Experience building and consuming production REST/GraphQL APIs; familiarity with event-driven patterns (Kafka or similar).

- Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD and at least one cloud platform (Azure preferred); testing discipline with Jest/Playwright or equivalents.

- Track record of owning modules in production — debugging live issues, performance tuning, secure releases.

Preferred / good to have

- React Native experience; exposure to micro-frontends or design systems.

- Experience migrating or integrating with legacy .NET/SQL Server systems.

- Familiarity with Keycloak/OIDC, API gateways (Kong/APISIX), Kubernetes operations.
