Job Purpose We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Cloud Engineering responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support business applications and services. The role will focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), security compliance, observability, reliability, and production operations.

The role will also involve collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve the reliability, scalability, and availability of systems.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Cloud

Infrastructure &

• Production Operations Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services. Improve production service reliability and operational performance. Reduce incident volume and severity. Improve platform performance and service levels. Implement observability and reliability engineering practices. Define and measure Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Monitor system health and support incident and problem resolution. Build and maintain automated runbooks to support resilient production operations.

- DevOps &
- Software Engineering Practices Drive adoption of DevOps culture, automation-first practices, and modern engineering standards. Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines. Support trunk-based development and standardise development workflows. Improve test and operations automation. Drive shift-left practices across QA, security, and operations within the SDLC. Optimise SDLC processes to improve deployment frequency and lead time for change. Standardise branching strategies and release management practices. Migrate to strategic SDLC, test automation, and observability tools and technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Ensure consistent adoption of IaC practices. Develop reusable infrastructure modules and contribute to engineering best-practice libraries.



Support automation and tooling improvements to streamline infrastructure and engineering workflows. 4.

Cloud

Security &

• Governance Embed DevSecOps practices within engineering and deployment processes. Implement automated security scanning, dependency checks, secret management, and compliance pipelines. Ensure cloud environments follow governance frameworks, naming conventions, tagging, and policy controls.

Implement

Identity and Access Management (IAM) using least-privilege principles. Conduct security reviews and participate in threat modelling. Support remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Kubernetes &
- Deployment Work with Kubernetes-based deployment orchestration. Support reliable and scalable application deployments. Implement and maintain deployment processes using contemporary CI/CD and GitOps tooling, including ArgoCD.
- Observability &
- Reliability Engineering Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for distributed systems. Establish and measure SLIs and SLOs to drive platform reliability. Monitor system performance and availability. Identify reliability and operational improvements. Use DevOps metrics, including DORA metrics, error budgets, and availability, to measure engineering and operational performance.
- Documentation &
- Knowledge Sharing Create and maintain technical documentation, including: Runbooks Architecture diagrams Deployment guides Engineering standards Contribute to engineering playbooks and reusable modules. Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and engineering community-of-practice activities.
- Delivery &
- Continuous Improvement Participate in sprint planning, technical grooming, and delivery ceremonies.



Identify bottlenecks and introduce automation or tooling improvements. Continuously evaluate technologies and propose solutions that strengthen the platform. Promote continuous improvement across engineering, operations, automation, and reliability practices.

Required Qualifications &

Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Terraform.

Experience designing solutions and architecture.

Experience driving modern software engineering practices. Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP cloud services.

Experience with secure cloud configuration and networking. Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines using modern tools such as: GitHub Google Cloud Build Artifactory ArgoCD Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment orchestration.

Experience implementing observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting for distributed systems. Proven ability to define and measure SLIs and SLOs to drive reliability.

Experience building and maintaining automated runbooks for resilient production operations.
