Sr. Design Engineer – Sheet Metal & NX Unigraphics

Job Purpose To independently execute sheet metal design and engineering activities using NX Unigraphics, ensuring accurate, manufacturable and cost-effective designs for trailers and heavy fabrication products.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify 3D sheet metal models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings using NX Unigraphics.
- Design sheet metal components considering material thickness, bend allowance, bend radius and manufacturing feasibility.
- Prepare detailed drawings, BOMs and design documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC and Sourcing teams for design implementation.
- Support prototype development, trials and resolution of manufacturing-related design issues.
- Review and improve existing designs for cost reduction, quality and manufacturability.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.




- Ensure timely completion of assigned design projects.

Required Skills

- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Sheet Metal Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens NX Unigraphics (NX CAD).
- Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Strong skills in 3D modelling, assembly and 2D drawing creation.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of weldments and heavy fabrication will be an advantage.
- Positive problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a senior-level individual contributor.

Candidate Profile We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on Sr. Design Engineer with practical experience in sheet metal design and NX Unigraphics.

Diploma candidates with strong relevant experience are also eligible.
