Senior Architect & Dev Lead - AI Foundry Estate

About Role - You are the design authority for the bank's AI Foundry Estate--our in-house model foundry (Petri Dish) and, relatedly, our platform-agnostic eval & observability platform (Eval Works)--and the engineering leader who ships it. You'll work directly with the Model Foundry Lead (PhD in CS) on defining and shipping both these AI solutions for the bank.

What you'll own

- Architect a cross-use-case, platform-agnostic Eval Works platform and the model foundry, with a hard, auditable boundary between the isolated model-testing dev workplace and production serving (distinct prod SLAs, model-risk controls).
- Set the estate's technical standards: gateway, serving, data/trace stores, AI telemetry standard, IAM and account fencing, model registry.
- Lead the engineering teams shipping bank-hosted AI models and the Eval Works build components.




- Lead SI teams integrating foundry and eval/obs vendor solutions into bank systems

What you bring

- 10+ yrs building and operating large-scale, regulated production systems; 4+ yrs leading engineering/SI teams.
- Proven platform/architecture ownership including cloud (SageMaker/AWS), containers, serving, environment isolation, security and audit.
- Fluency with ML/LLM/SLM serving and sufficient MLOps expertise to govern it (you need not train AI models, but you will ship home-tuned AI models, the key deliverable of the foundry).
- Vendor-integration and SI delivery experience in a large enterprise is preferred; strength on regulatory/data-governance constraints is a bonus.
- You must be a clear communicator who sets standards and mentors leads; startup pace a plus.
