Description Hands-on Senior AI Application Engineer role building and shipping GenAI/SLM applications, including RAG pipelines, agents, fine-tuned models, and APIs/UI for air-gapped and on-prem environments.

Role: Senior AI Application Engineer

Location: Noida

Experience

- 5+ years skilled software engineering
- 2+ years building GenAI/ML applications in production
- Comfortable with Docker/Kubernetes
- Comfortable with at least one major cloud platform
- Uses Claude Code / Claude-based agents daily in the build workflow

Responsibilities

- Build and productionize RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM/SLM-backed features from architecture specs
- Fine-tune, quantize, and package SLMs for constrained and offline environments
- Benchmark accuracy, latency, and cost against alternatives
- Implement local and offline inference serving
- Integrate vector stores for air-gapped deployments
- Write clean, testable, well-documented Python for APIs, data pipelines, and integration layers
- Connect LLM components to enterprise systems
- Containerize and deploy applications across cloud and on-prem targets
- Build evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and monitoring/logging for model outputs
- Work sprint-to-sprint in JIRA,



pick up stories, raise blockers early, keep the board current, and demo working software each sprint
- Review agent-generated code line-by-line and decide when to trust versus override the agent
- Take specs from the Technical Program Lead and execute with minimal hand-holding
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain JIRA hygiene
- Communicate risks, blockers, and technical trade-offs clearly
- Mentor junior AI Application Engineers through code reviews, spec writing, and RAG/SLM guidance

Additional Responsibilities

- Work with air-gapped and on-prem environments
- Support governance framework requirements set by the Technical Program Lead
- Use Claude-driven development, including custom Skills and MCP tools, to speed up delivery
- Review code for bugs, edge cases, and security issues
- Explain technical trade-offs to the Technical Program Lead and, when needed, the client
- Bring junior engineers up to speed on air-gapped deployment practices
- Self-driven and self-governed in a high-ownership hybrid culture

Nice To Have

- Background in an IT/consulting services company
- Exposure to Big Data tooling such as Spark, Hive, or Hadoop




- Exposure to Graph Analytics
- Experience in regulated or air-gapped delivery environments such as defense, government, or BFSI
- Familiarity with AI governance and evaluation frameworks such as guardrails, red-teaming, or model cards
- Contribution to open source projects
- Academic papers published
- Patents filed
