Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to guide students and parents in making informed decisions about academic programs, courses, and career pathways. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and counselling skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students and parents regarding academic programs, courses, eligibility, fees, and career opportunities.

Understand students’ academic backgrounds, interests, goals, and requirements.

Provide accurate information about courses, admission processes, curriculum, and career prospects.

Handle student and parent queries through calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.

Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.

Maintain regular communication with leads and ensure timely follow-ups.

Achieve individual and team counselling/admission targets.

Conduct counselling sessions, presentations, webinars, and orientation programs when required.

Maintain accurate records of student interactions, enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in CRM/Excel.

Coordinate with the admissions, academic, and operations teams to ensure a smooth student onboarding process.

Support students throughout the admission process and resolve basic queries promptly.





Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure a positive student experience.

Stay updated on courses, academic policies, industry trends, and career opportunities.

Required Skills

Good listening and relationship-building skills.

Ability to understand student needs and provide appropriate guidance.

Good convincing and negotiation skills.

Target-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace, Excel, and CRM tools.

Ability to handle multiple enquiries and follow-ups efficiently.

Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field is preferred.

1–4 years of experience in academic counselling, student counselling, admissions, education sales, career counselling, or a related role.

Fresh graduates with solid communication and counselling skills may also be considered for suitable entry-level positions.

CRM/data accuracy and timely updates.

Response and follow-up turnaround time.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
